Mophie 3G arrived

Wed, 11/12/2008 - 19:23

I've been waiting for this since it was announced. The Mophie 3G Juice Pack.  My phone starts its mornings about 4am and doesn't get to rest until late each night. I push it when it comes to battery life with my iPhone. Mophie states I should get an additional 6hrs talk time on a 3G network. 12hrs on a 2G network. Audio playback: up to an additional 28hrsVideo playback: up to an additional 8hrs.
If I can get anywhere close to that I will be a happy camper.
Its a little bulky and on the heavy side but I think I can get tolerate that. It comes nearly 3/4 charged. Tomorrow I will put it to the test.

Acoustic version of Fade to Black - Solo Sample

Thu, 11/06/2008 - 09:59

I just purchased on iTunes the acoustic version of Fade to Black. As a kid this is one song I used to play a lot on my guitar. Nice solo of it for being live.

Track shipments on your iPhone with Delivery Status Touch

Thu, 11/06/2008 - 07:20

I recently started using a desktop widget for mac called Delivery Status. Works great for tracking shipments. They have an iphone version of this app out also called Delivery Status Touch. Works just like the desktop app. I order a lot of items from Amazon.com. I enter in my order number and amazon.com information and it can even keep track of my pre-orders as shown in an actual screenshot from my phone below.
A feature it's lacking which I'm hoping will be introduced in the future is the ability to sync the desktop app data with the iphone app either via wifi or the cloud. I prefer keeping information available on both desktop and iphone.

Panera Bread soon to open

Sun, 11/02/2008 - 07:54

Went for a walk last night and checked out the progress of the newly built Panera Bread store. From the looks of the pictures I took, it should be opening up pretty soon.
A lot of twitter folk I follow seem to really like eating there. I'm looking forward to the grand opening.

My daughter is going as the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Her friend is a Punk Rockin Girl.

Also it's her friends birthday today. As I was taking one of the shots here, my daughter dumped a bag of glitter on her head. :)

Wow! Griffin iTalk for iPhone is amazing!

Wed, 10/29/2008 - 19:00

Trying this out and I'm blown away!

The recording quality is the best out of all similar apps for the iPhone I have tried. The best part is the addition of the iTalk sync desktop app.

Launch the iPhone app and record your audio. If your iPhone is hooked up to your wireless network, launch the iTalk sync desktop client. It will detect your audio you just recorded. Drag the file off to your desktop and your done.
It saves the audio as a .aiff file.

This is very cool. I can't believe its free.
