Safari is my default web browser on my mac. Recently I will log into sites like Twitter for instance and then Safari would drop the cookies. I will stay logged in for awhile then without knowing why I would have to re-log back in. But it wouldn't drop every cookie, just a few of them. I looked all throughout my settings and couldn't see any reason why this should happen.
Finally was able to correct the problem. I first shut down Safari. I then went into ~/Library/Cookies folder and deleted the cookies.plist file. Relaunched Safari and have tested it for over for a day and everything is working great now.
I'm assuming the cookies.plist file became corrupt.
Once again I'm a happy Safari user.
